Cotton Warehouses

The Cotton Warehouses, at the Porto antico of Genoa, they occupy the area of the former Magazzini Generali, built in 1869 to cope with the increase in the city's commercial traffic. Renovated by Renzo Piano in 1992 as part of the restyling project of the Porto antico, they are now a landmark of the city for culture and entertainment. Home to the Congress Centre, the 11 theatres of the Cinema, various shops including the Music Store, one of the best-stocked music outlets in Liguria, the Città dei bambini e dei ragazzi, where the youngest children can experience science and technology through play, and the De Amicis Library, specialising in publishing and multimedia for young people.
