Appian Way: E-Bike Tour from Appian to Castel Gandolfo Lake

Day trip

Experience description

Get ready for an exhilarating escapade! This bike ride unravels around the historic Appia Antica, with a 35km stretch beginning in the heart of Rome. The trail unveils a fascinating world of ancient tombs, ruins, and mounds, all nestled within a lush, green landscape.

Your two-wheeled adventure culminates at the stunning Lake Albano in Castel Gandolfo, renowned as one of central Italy's most breathtaking lakes. Here, indulge in a rejuvenating dip, just remember to pack a towel as changing facilities aren't available.

Within the charming town of Castel Gandolfo, you'll stumble upon a unique Osteria boasting a historic wine cellar. This is the perfect spot to sample authentic local cuisine.

Following a shared meal with the guide, it's time to hop on a train back to Rome's central station, Roma Termini. From here, you'll continue the journey on an e-bike, returning to the starting point.
