Overview
Another great musical event that will enliven the programme of events of ‘GO!2025’, the festival conceived and promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region on the occasion of the European Capital of Culture, has been unveiled: MASSIVE ATTACK, one of the most important groups on the world music scene of the last thirty years, will perform on 24 June 2025 at the Casa Rossa Arena in Gorizia for the only concert in the north-east of the peninsula organised by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Gect.
Considered to be the inventors of the trip hop genre (the style that transformed New York hip hop into an innovative concentrate of soul, reggae, dub and electronics with introspective and cinematic atmospheres), MASSIVE ATTACK were founded in Bristol and have managed to redefine the boundaries of contemporary music, collaborating with artists such as Sinéad O'Connor, Horace Andy and Madonna. Their albums Blue Lines and Mezzanine were included in Rolling Stone's list of the 500 best albums of all time. During their career, MASSIVE ATTACK have received numerous awards, including a Brit Award for Best British Dance Act, two MTV Europe Music Awards and two Q Awards.
