Overview
Fashion, music, books, cinema, along with the Silver Factory, consumer culture, and America—these are just some of the themes featured in "Andy Warhol. Beyond Borders". This major exhibition runs from 20th December 2024 to 4th May 2025, at Palazzo Attems Petzenstein in Gorizia, where Warhol's world is brought to life. It offers an immersive journey into the world and work of the father of Pop Art, providing the public with a broad view of his life and career through dozens of artworks, multimedia installations, and iconic photographs.
The exhibition traces Warhol’s artistic development, exploring the key themes of his style, from his training as an illustrator in the world of advertising and fashion to his rise as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. Around 180 works, from prestigious European collections, will guide visitors through a themed itinerary that fosters a continuous dialogue between past and present. Many historic works will be on display, such as the complete series of Campbell's Soup, Flowers, and Marilyn, as well as famous portraits of figures such as Muhammad Ali, Truman Capote, Grace Kelly, Jackie Kennedy, Mickey Mouse, and Superman, to name a few.
This is a unique opportunity to explore Warhol's creative universe, which, with his distinctive style, turned art into a powerful tool for social and cultural commentary.
