Saludecio

For centuries a defensive possession of the Malatesta family thanks to its strategically important hillside position, Saludecio is a village set in a gentle green landscape. In addition to the nature that surrounds it and its architecturally well-kept historic centre, the town offers a special feature: the Giardino dei Profumi, an Italian-style garden containing a vast collection of herbs and officinal plants, protagonists of a culture as ancient as it is close to people's hearts. Strolling through the town, it is also difficult to do not be carried away by the atmospheres evoked by the murals that colour the alleys and small squares of the old town centre; these are works inspired by the inventions of the 19th century, the century in which Saludecio experienced its greatest splendour: a veritable art exhibition "en plein air".
