Misano Adriatico

Overview

Misano Adriatico: high speed on two and four wheels a stone's throw from the sea

Most come here for the sport, all stay for the sea and the good food. Misano Adriatico is a small seaside resort on the Romagna Riviera with a sporting soul that stands out at an international level.

This is the land of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, but the relationship of this location does not end with MotoGP.
Nautical tourism, for example, is at home in Misano Adriatico thanks to the enchanting Portoverde Marina Resort with 350 boat moorings and state-of-the-art accommodation facilities, but in recent years cycling tourism has also seen exponential growth.

The Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali also passes through Misano and the long cycle path along the Lungomare delle Fontane allows everyone to keep active even on holiday.

Beach, sea and trendy clubs: impossible to get bored

Misano has always been able to intercept changes and meet the ever-changing needs of summer holidaymakers.
The promenade of squares and fountains, the stretch of beach from the Litoranea Nord area and the Litoranea Sud area to Portoverde beach, has recently been renovated with new street furniture, characteristic water fountains and colourful pedestrian areas.

The wide beach of fine sand and the clean sea ensure safe holidays for the whole family. Lovely beach clubs ensure refreshing drinks at all hours of the day, restaurants offer the best of traditional dishes and the new seafront pools are the icing on the cake of a relaxing stay.

And in the evening?

In Misano Adriatico it is hard to get bored. From June to September, the Mercatino dei Cimeli, the traditional flea market, takes place every Thursday from 8pm between Via Platani and Via Marconi, in the city centre, while during the same period, on Wednesday evenings, the Misano Brasile area hosts the craft fair.

The Misano Adriatico seafront is dotted with renowned nightclubs such as Milk, Arena 58 and the Ora Club, but if it is seaside promenades you are after, you can head to Portoverde to stroll in relaxation under the arcades that follow the perimeter of the bay among parks, boutiques and trendy clubs.

Those looking for memorable nights at the discotheque can count instead on the three historic discos of the Romagna Riviera: Byblos, Villa delle Rose and Peter Pan on the hills just a stone's throw from the centre of Misano.

Not only MotoGP at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli

The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is located just a few minutes from the town centre and for 50 years has been one of the symbols of high speed in Italy and, in particular, in MotoGP. The San Marino and Riviera di Rimini motorbike Grand Prix, Superbike, the Italian Speed Championship and the FMI Cup all stop in Misano every year, but racing cars are also at home here.

The Italian leg of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters takes place at the Misano motorbike circuit, as does the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS – Sprint Cup, the Porsche Sports Cup, the Porsche Cup Swiss Championship and the Italian Speed Festival.

And motor and motorbike enthusiasts, once in Misano, must organise a pilgrimage to Tavullia in search of the places where Valentino Rossi grew up.

Wellness in Misano between nature and good food

The encounter between the sea and the countryside in Misano results in unique experiences for visitors, starting with the gastronomy that mixes the typical flavours of the Romagna hinterland with freshly caught fish dishes. Prepare to tickle your taste buds with grilled meat and fish, traditional country soups and a PDO extra virgin olive oil that comes from this very area.

A stone's throw from the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, moreover, the Fauna Oasis and Ornithological Observatory stretches over 700 hectares, a small natural paradise for cycling and birdwatching enthusiasts.
