The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is located just a few minutes from the town centre and for 50 years has been one of the symbols of high speed in Italy and, in particular, in MotoGP. The San Marino and Riviera di Rimini motorbike Grand Prix, Superbike, the Italian Speed Championship and the FMI Cup all stop in Misano every year, but racing cars are also at home here.
The Italian leg of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters takes place at the Misano motorbike circuit, as does the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS – Sprint Cup, the Porsche Sports Cup, the Porsche Cup Swiss Championship and the Italian Speed Festival.
And motor and motorbike enthusiasts, once in Misano, must organise a pilgrimage to Tavullia in search of the places where Valentino Rossi grew up.
