Gualtieri

A village along the banks of the Po on the border with Lombardy, Gualtieri intertwines its history with that of the painter Antonio Ligabue, who had his roots here and was buried here. An artist with a complex personality, Ligabue had a difficult life, always poised between art and suffering: today his life is recounted by the Museum Foundation dedicated to him, which contains a rich documentary heritage and works by the great painter.
