The Festa Artusiana 2026, now in its 30th edition, will take place in Forlimpopoli from 27 June to 5 July 2026, transforming the city into a vast stage dedicated to Italian gastronomic culture.
For nine days, the historic centre of Forlimpopoli becomes the capital of "eating well", paying tribute to its most illustrious citizen: Pellegrino Artusi, gastronome, writer and father of modern Italian cuisine.
Author of the famous volume “La scienza in cucina e l'arte di mangiar bene” (Science in the Kitchen and the Art of Eating Well), Artusi made a decisive contribution to the dissemination of domestic gastronomic culture and the construction of the national culinary identity, with a work that is among the most translated and influential in the world.
During the event, an intertwining of sounds, aromas and flavours animates the streets of the historic centre, transforming Forlimpopoli into a sprawling itinerary of gastronomy, culture and entertainment, capable of welcoming thousands of visitors every evening.
The theme of the festival is Artusi's home cooking, with the 790 recipes from "Science in the Kitchen and the Art of Eating Well" reinterpreted and offered in restaurants, at food stands and in spaces set up along the streets, squares and alleyways, which for the occasion take the names of the chapters of the famous manual.
The Festa Artusiana is a unique event on the Italian scene, in which the gastronomic tradition of Romagna is intertwined with culture and entertainment, offering an immersive experience of cuisine, identity and conviviality.
For those looking for festivals in Emilia Romagna, food festivals in Italy, gastronomic events in Forlimpopoli, traditional Italian cuisine, Pellegrino Artusi and food and wine cultural events, the Festa Artusiana is an unmissable event in summer 2026.
