Maritime Museum

Overview

The only floating museum in Italy

In the heart of the ancient Port Canal of Cesenatico, halfway between the historic centre, the fishermen's houses and the places where fish are sold, the Maritime Museum is the heart of the history and identity of the local community. Here, in the only floating museum in Italy, through a unique route, it is possible to live experiences of authentic connection with the sea.

The Maritime Museum of Cesenatico is divided into two sections. The first on land, the second floating, where the historic boats of the middle and upper Adriatic are preserved in the permanent exhibition dedicated to them.

Between the nets and boats, on the tour to discover the maritime identity of the territory, you can admire ancient boats, set sail with your own hands, learn the traditional knots of sailors and discover all the secrets of navigation, thus creating a direct contact with maritime cultural heritage.
