Castelvetro di Modena

Overview

Castelvetro di Modena is announced from afar, with its towers and bell towers rising towards the sky, drawing its profile. Formerly surrounded by walls, today the village still has an intimate shape, as if it wanted to guard a secret. And indeed, Castelvetro keeps two secrets: the first is Lambrusco Grasparossa DOP, produced in the gentle hills surrounding the village; the second is the precious Traditional Balsamic Vinegar DOP, the 'black gold' of Modena. Its Piazza Roma, with its unmistakable chequered paving, comes alive every year with numerous events, including the September Grape Festival. Not to be missed nearby is the Castle of Levizzano Rangone.
