Overview
The three-floor building of the School is set in the charming surroundings of Porta Ferrara. On the ground floor are the store rooms and woodworking areas; the first floor houses the guitar and mandolin makers, while the second and last floor is where the bowed instruments are made, under the watchful eye of the master lutemakers. The School organises courses for both professionals and amateurs, with students coming from various parts of Italy and also from abroad. Guided tours of the workshops can also be arranged by phone or email, for schoolchildren or tourists.
