Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari

Overview

Born in the late 1940s, among the hills of the city of Imola, the dream of four motorsport enthusiasts from Imola and the dream of Checco Costa came true on 6th March 1950, when the foundation stone of the Imola motor racing circuit was laid.

Officially inaugurated on 25th April 1953 with the Coni Grand Prix, it immediately became the scene of the most renowned international motorsports events.

In 1963, F1 arrived in Imola, thanks in part to the efforts of Enzo Ferrari, after whom the racing circuit was named in 1988.

It currently hosts the Italian Superbike Grand Prix, as well as many other world-class motorbike and car races. It is one of the few tracks where you race in an anti-clockwise direction.
