Herculaneum History, traditions and daily life
Herculaneum, together with Pompeii and Oplontis, is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and perfect testimony of life in a typical Roman city. Founded according to legend by Hercules, it was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
