Overview
Piano di Novacco, located at 1315 m above sea level, is a natural plateau in the municipality of Saracena, with a great scenic impact and large wooded areas.
We are in the Monti di Orsomarso, in the Pollino National Park, an area protected for its environmental integrity, which has been maintained above all thanks to the ruggedness of the terrain and lack of urban development.
Beech and black pine trees dominate the landscape and offer shelter to wolves, eagles, eagle owls and roe deer.
The area is also interesting geologically, with typical karstic landscape formations, such as karstic plateaus, dolines and sinkholes.
