Overview
TheDaino-Cervo wildlife oasis is a naturalistic area dedicated to the protection of these two animals, present in the Gallipoli Cognato Piccole Dolomiti Lucane RegionalPark. During the visit, one can also approach these docile deer with caution, without bothering them. Deer and stag are not the only animals present in the Gallipoli Cognato Piccole Dolomiti Lucane Regional Park. Just think of the large birds that fly over these mountains, such as the peregrine falcon or the red kite, or the wild animals of the forest, such as foxes and wolves, which are, however, solitary animals and more difficult to encounter. All around the oasis, a range of possibilities opens up for walkers and climbers who want to explore the unspoilt nature of this green area in the heart of the Basilicata.
