Ollomont

The Ollomont valley is a short side valley of the Valpelline. In the past, the cliffs around the copper-rich village of Ollomont were the scene of intense industrial exploitation, still witnessed by the ruins of the ancient mining complexes. Today, the age of the miners seems very far away and the sunny basin of Ollomont welcomes travellers in search of authentic alpine flavours and sports activities to be practiced in the shadow of the bell tower of the beautiful parish church. In winter, Ollomont is known for its cross-country skiing trails, while in summer, the fascinating natural environment offered by this unspoilt valley is crossed by hiking trails of varying difficulties.
