Alba Adriatica

Overview

Located on the northernmost coast of the Abruzzo region, Alba Adriatica, famous for its beautiful Silver Beach, attracts tourists every year in search of relaxation, fun and excellent beaches.

Originating from a neighbouring Tortoreto, Alba Adriatica only became a municipality in its own right in the 20th century.

Its extensive sandy coastline and shallow waters soon made it one of the leading seaside resorts in the region. Nestled within the Val Vibrata, among gentle green hills dotted with small villages rich in history and charm, the city of Abruzzo is fascinating with its mayeighteenth-century villas, such as Villa Chiarugi, Villa Gianluca Palma and Villa Zanoni, and with its beautiful promenade.

The free beaches that alternate with equipped lidos have been awarded the title of Blue Flag several time. The high level and variety of services offered also make Alba Adriatica one of the most sought-after destinations on the Abruzzo coast.

The numerous catering, entertainment and equipment rental services have made it a popular summer destination with tourists from all over Italy. The many spaces and sports facilities also make Alba a popular destination for young people.
