Overview
Overlooking the Subequana Valley and surrounded by woods and valleys, Goriali Sicoli rises on a hill from which the gaze wanders to the horizon and caresses the green landscape. Arriving from afar, the first thing you can notice is the imposing bell tower, once a sentinel defending the territory: the bell tower, in fact, rises, together with the pretty parish church, on what was once the ancient castle. The village and its houses accompany the slope and were protected by massive walls, which are still visible. Worth seeing, outside the centre, are "I Cerri", an enormous public woodland to relax in and stroll through, and the railway, a monument of national importance due to the great engineering work that went into its construction.
