Skiing at your doorstep
Piani di Bobbio is so close to Milan that you can literally ski a stone’s throw from the city. It only takes an hour to reach the ski resort, which offers 35 kilometres of slopes and 11 lifts, including gondolas, chairlifts, ski lifts and surface lifts, as well as a ski school, equipment hire, a snow park for experts who love to perform snowboarding tricks, and snowshoe trails that take you up to 1,900 metres above sea level.
The ski resort is located in Valsassina, in Lombardy, on land that was used in medieval times as a summer pasture by the Abbey of San Colombano di Bobbio.
Whatever the season, nature offers stunning spectacles. But it is in winter that these areas are at their best, when the forests and slopes are snow-covered and the ski-lift facilities are operating at full capacity, so you never have to take your skis off.
The district also includes Artavaggio, Piani d’Erna, Pian delle Betulle and Valtorta, and offers spectacular landscapes and every type of winter activity, from alpine skiing, Nordic skiing and telemark skiing to snowboarding, ski mountaineering and snowshoe trekking.
