Overview
This village of colourful houses and narrow streets, once a fish port and now a renowned tourist destination, is connected to the homonymous island by a narrow strip of land.
To the east is Lido dei Maronti, from where you can take a boat to Cava Scura, the most famous hot springs on the island.
An open-air thermal bathhas been excavated from the tuff on the hillside. There are numerous thermal outcrops all over the coastal area of Sant'Angelo, in some instances marked by conspicuous fumaroles and the high temperatures that affect the sand and rock.
