Wellness and relaxation at the foot of Mont Blanc

Renowned thermal waters, breath-taking landscapes and year-round outdoor activities: you can find all this in Pré-Saint-Didier, in the heart of Valdigne, in the Aosta Valley. This town was known since Roman times for its thermal springs, but only began attracting crowds from the 17th century. The springs peaked in popularity in the late 19th century, when the luxury spa establishments were built.

At a toasty 37°C, the thermal waters in the area gush into the cave at the base of the Pré-Saint-Didier Gorge, upstream of the confluence of the Varney stream and the Dora Baltea river. They are famous for their relaxing, anti-rheumatic and restorative properties, making them perfect for beneficial treatments.

But Pré-Saint-Didier offers more than spas. At the foot of Mont Blanc, the area has plenty to offer in all seasons. In winter, snow sports enthusiasts can try countless activities, while in summer you can enjoy long nature walks. We recommend hiking to the Gothic Castle of Verrand or the Verney Gorge, where you can admire a narrow waterfall between cramped rocks, accessible via a path that ends in a suspended footbridge.
